Entertainment Magazine...
Actor Abhishek Bachchan says his wife Aishwarya Rai-Bachchan is happy playing mother to their three-and-half-month-old daughter and would return to work when she feels like doing so. Meanwhile the actor is keen to work in films inspired by plays by young writers.

“As and when she wants to come back, is completely her decision. And she will take up an offer when she sees a script she is inspired by — the decision is entirely hers. Currently she is very happy doing what she is doing,” the 36-year-old said at the launch of Sorabh Pant’s bookThe Wednesday Soul in Mumbai.
Bachchan realises that being the father, it’s his responsibility to bring bread and butter, which is why he is busy shooting for his upcoming films and is on the lookout for new projects. Bachchan favours plays penned by young writers unlike film-makers who prefer remakes of films rather than adaptations. “I like to read biographies and autobiographies. But there are some wonderful plays out there by young, Indian writers. I would love to do one of them,” states Bachchan.
When asked if he has a particular play in mind, the actor says, “I can’t decide which one. Like I said, there is a lot of interesting material being written in India, I would love to delve into that resource to come up with a film,” he adds.
While Bachchan is currently working on Bol Bachchan,Chakravyuha and two sequels — Dostana 2 and Dhoom 3, his wife has put his Bollywood queen tag aside to focus on her maternal duties. According to, for Aishwarya her daughter tops the list of priorities at least till the time the little blessing turns one.
Since the birth of her daughter in November 2011, producers and directors have been knocking Aishwarya’s door and requesting her to act in their films. But Aishwarya stood firm on her decision and decided to give all her precious time to her daughter, who is referred to as Beti B for now.
